We had a VERY long day today going south down the coast to some little towns. It was about two hours in the car each way and then quite a bit of driving around down there. We ate at another local place at lunch today, not my choice, but way out of capital there isn't much else. Trying to pick the least risky food on the menu is a challenge! The narrow coastal road runs through many small villages with free-roaming cows, goats, donkeys, horses, and a pig! People of all ages from school children to older folks are walking along side it and across it! At one point our driver was doing 100 km/hr!To get to the orphanages we had to go across a different floating bridge.

The first orphanage we stopped at had beautiful gardens but only one little boy was at home. |

The view across the street from the orphanage. |

A dad walking his two little ones along the highway. They must both be in half-day school! One was holding his hand and the other holding on to the bicycle. |

A near by school |

Two little girls walking either to or from school for lunch along the highway! |

Heading back over the floating bridge at the end of the day. It was a very long drive home!

To those of you that don't know where I am because I am not naming my country on my blog yet, I feel this is a little bit like, "Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?" "Where in the world is Elizabeth?"
